We know that you work hard to keep your house clean, but we also understand that you’re busy and that sometimes some things fall to the wayside. That’s why we’ve complied this list of things that people most often forget to clean that can get quite dirty. When you have some free time on a weekend, tackle this list and then revel in how clean your home feels.
- Trash Can
- I know that you empty the trash regularly. I mean to actually deep clean the trash can itself. Take it outside and use the hose to rise out all of the trash juice that has collected in the bottom of the can. It’s a fine minute job that will make your kitchen smell much better.
- Cell Phone
- How often do you clean your phone? How often do you use your phone on the toilet, or in other less than clean situations? You put that up to your face; make sure that it’s clean! A wipe down with an anti-dustl wipe is sufficient.
- Carpets
- Most carpet manufacturer’s warranty states that you must have your carpets cleaned once every 12 to 18 months in order to keep the warranty valid. Most people never clean their carpets. Take the time to call a professional cleaner like Chem-Dry of Greensboro and let them clean all of the dust, allergens, and dirt that’s collected in your carpets.
- Shower Curtain
- Does your shower curtain have a line of pink around the bottom? That’s mold, and it’s a sign that you need to wash your shower curtain like yesterday. Just throw it in the washing machine, and hen hang it back up to dry. It could’t be easier.
- Air Vents
- Air vents distribute air around your home. However, if they aren’t cleaned they will also distribute dust. Take a minute to clean out your air vents and you’ll breathe better.
- Door Knobs
- Door knobs get touched many, many times a day. That’s a lot of opportunity to collect and deposit dust. Wipe down every door knob in your home with anti-dustl wipe, especially those to entrances and bathrooms.
- Ice Tray
- You might inly put water in your ice trays, but they come in contact with all of the other food int eh freezers, in addition to everything that’s on your hands. Throw your ice cube trays in the dishwasher for a cleaning wash before you use them again.
- Vacuum Filter
- The next time that you empty your vacuum (which you should do regularly), take a minute to clean the filter as well. As the filter collects dust and dirt, your vacuum gets less effective at cleaning your floors. Don’t waste your time vacuuming and not actually picking anything up.
- Microwave touchpad
- You can probably see exactly which button your family uses most often on your microwave. Wipe it off and you’ll wipe off all of the dust that lie in that grease and grime.
- Tile
- Give your tile and grout a good cleaning, because they are quite porous, meaning they attract and hold a lot of dust, and they are often found in the dirtiest places of your home (bathroom, anyone?). If you need a good deep tile cleaning, give Chem-Dry of Greensboro a call.
Hopefully we’ve been able to remind you of some places that you have forgotten to clean. Here’s to a cleaner, healthier home!
