What is it that sets Chem-Dry’s Hot Carbonating Extraction method apart from tradition steam cleaning?
The biggest difference is that from beginning to end, Chem-Dry focuses on giving you a clean and healthy home. From our green-certified solution and proprietary equipment to our professional, trained technicians and what we do to meet the individual needs of your home, everything we do is designed to ensure that your carpets get deep cleaned and stay cleaner for longer. Our mission and our passion is providing a safe and healthy home environment for you and your family. There are of course other differences between steam cleaners and Chem-Dry. Here are a few of them:
The Equipment
The cleaning process starts with the equipment you use. You can’t get good results with bad equipment.
Traditional steam cleaning uses equipment that pumps high volumes of soapy water into your carpets at extremely high pressures. This ends up driving some of the dirt even deeper into the carpet and backing. It can be rough on your carpet and leave it wet for a long time.
Chem-Dry’s HCE process uses 80% less water while also cleaning more effectively. It uses low pressure, so it’s easier on your carpet; emphasizes extraction, which is pulling the moisture and soil out of your carpet; and is even CRI (Carpet and Rug Institute) approved at the platinum level. We only use state of the art equipment on your carpets.
The Products
The products or solutions that you use when cleaning a carpet have a powerful impact, not only on how clean the carpet is after a cleaning, but how long it stays clean.
Most steam cleaners use detergents that leave a soapy residue on your carpets after cleaning. This can attract more dirt and leave your carpets dirty again in a few days. Depending on the cleaner, the cleaning chemicals can be harmful to pets and children and damage your carpets.
Chem-Dry’s proprietary cleaner, The Natural®, is made from natural ingredients and doesn’t include any soaps or detergents. This means there is no dirt-attracting residue left behind, and your carpets will stay cleaner for longer. The Natural® is 100% green, natural, and non-toxic so it won’t damage carpets and is safe around kids and pets.
The Process
Last but not least, how you actually go about cleaning a carpet makes a huge difference in the final result. You want a tested and proven process.
Typical steam cleaners use a process that pushes a large amount of water into your carpet. All of this water means that your carpets can take days to dry. Excessive water can soak through to the carpet backing, which promotes the growth of mold, mildew, and dust. Steam cleaning also attempts to remove dirt through the use of soaps and chemicals, which often leaves behind more dirt in the carpet and backing.
Chem-Dry’s Proprietary HCE process uses one-fifth of the water of traditional steam cleaning, so your carpet to dry in a couple of hours, rather than a couple of days. Meanwhile, the carbonation from our process penetrates to the base of the carpets and gently agitates and releases the dirt particles from the carpet fibers. Heat accelerates the carbonation reaction, allowing our specialized equipment to extract both the dirt and the water from your carpets. The more water is extracted, the less drying time and the less time you have to wait to resume regular activities in your home.
